Scott K.
This one's probably simple. I'm trying to resize a MIDI region by dragging the lower right edge to the right. After lengthening the region, when I let go of the tool, the region snaps back to its previous size. What's the secret? Edit: Trim to Fill Within Locators allows me to resize the region, but I'd still like to know how to drag the corner of the region to resize it. polanoid
That sounds to me like the region is SMPTE locked, although Trim to fill within locators wouldn't work either then, so maybe not. Still worth checking I guess.
Scott K.
That's the first thing I checked. The region is not locked.
polanoid
Did you record the region in ADAPT mode so that it controls the project tempo?
Scott K.
No, I'm doing some transcription and manually created the MIDI region for note input in the score editor.
polanoid
Can you post the project here? I'm afraid I'm running out of ideas

David Nahmani
Make sure the Snap mode pop-up menu (top right of the Tracks view) is set to Smart or turned off?
Scott K.
@Atlas007I'm using the pointer tool, which turns into a region tool when hovered over the lower right corner of the region. @David NahmaniSnap is set to smart, but I also experience the issue when snap is disabled. polanoid
Either a video or the project this happens in could be really helpful in solving this problem

I was thrown off by "record the region", as I imported the file. Thanks for your help! Edited September 30, 2022 by skellogg
