Logic Sluggish after updating to Monterey!!!

When you say "recently", do you mean hours ago, or days ago? When you install a new OS version, Spotlight will run for hours created threads that index your system, and these can use significant resources.

After a few hours, Spotlight indexing is usually done (depending on the amount of data on your system) and performance should be more as expected...

Oh thanks maybe that is the culprit..I will see I just Installed the new OS a few hours ago! But logic has been acting slightly sluggish especially in the Piano roll before that! Every time I try to save it locks and I have to Force QUIT! It is sluggish even only ONE sample track loaded! Very Weird! Maybe I need to wipe my system and reload everything ! The only reason I updated the system was to see if everything worked under Monterey before I get a new MACBOOK M1!

Try this: Trash your Logic preferences file (search forum here, lots of posts about it) Delete the Logic app and re download from the Appstore? All your downloaded library sounds will be still on your Mac.

By the way Logic is buttery smooth and zippy on MacBook Air M1 with Monterey here.

You definitely have a fixable problem, your  Macbook is still powerful.
