Hi! just new here and new Logic Pro User.

(switch from Logic 5.5.1 PC)

So logic pro use node to distribute audio in ethernet, but i would use Firewire , i have a Mini mac (for live) near me and G5 (for node). i've heard that it's possible.

If one of You could answer me!

OK. So if I am understanding. I can hook my G4 to my G5 thru the ethernet port and then my dual 2.0Ghz becomes a5.4Ghz machine, because the G4 is a 1.4Ghz???

 

I've looked thru these manuals, but I'll admit it. I'm confused. Help.... :lol: :cry:

It's not that simple. Two cars running at 100mph don't equal one car going at 200mph. But you can distribute some of the processing used by the plug-ins in your session to the Node computer. According to Apple specs, the Node computer should be a G5, so you should use your G4 as the main computer.

 

But there have been reports of people using G4 Nodes succesfully.
