grumblepig
Hi all - this isn't the first time I've had seemingly sudden CPU issues, and I know many others have the same. Rather than me writing a likely redundant post, I'm wondering if someone could list 5 or 10 common causes of CPU spikes. A quick checklist of what to look for. Maybe I'm being naive, but I'd certainly be happy to have a quick go-to, esp. in moments of constant crashiness!
fisherking
not a list of causes, but some things you can do: reboot. open ONLY logic, and the project you are working (make sure nothing is set to open on a restart). there are so many variables (your mac, the plugins you use, whether you're running rosetta2, etc), it's hard for someone here to pinpoint what's happening. but this is a community of very-capable logic users, so am sure others will post things to look out for... Well, that worked! So simple, yet not something bonehead me knew to do, so thanks, fisherking. I still hope to get a list going of various other troubleshooting tips, but I don't know how to phrase my questions in a non-cluttery way!
