El Versus
Hi guys. Could someone explain to me what function this number bar has here? In what cases is it useful to pay attention to it? Thanks. Edited November 15, 2022 by El Versus
wonshu
It shows the volume level of the audio in percent. I'm guessing percent of available dynamic range determined by the bit-depth of the audio file. It's really only informational and I don't think anyone actually works with it. Just glance and you'll get a rough feeling of the level of the raw audio. 1

David Nahmani
The correspondence between amplitude percentage and dBFS levels is: 100 % = 0 dBFS 50 % = - 6 dBFS 25 % = - 12 dBFS ...etc.

Anyone confirm ?
