HELP
I have an alesis pro nitro mesh kit. I recentley purchased a second drum tower module and a kick so I can have double bass. The problem is that there isn't an input for a second kick tower so i have to plug it into the channel for tom 4. If i use the kick drum it will make a tom sound on all the drum kits. How do I replace the input with an input for a kick?
Atlas007
Not familiar with the electronic drum kits. However, if the drum kit is used to trigger sounds from a plugin in Logic, I gather the drum kit pieces are sending discrete/specific note events#, one for each of the kit pieces. In that case, the simple solution could be to remap the tom 4 note event to the kick note event. That could be achieved in various places in Logic. Are you using the drum sound coming from a software plugin in Logic or are you recording the sound that comes from the Alesis Pro Nitro mesh kit? David Nahmani
You could use the Scripter MIDI FX plug-in and use the Drum Kit Designer Remapper setting, which lets you remap any incoming note to the drum kit piece of your choice.
