LogicR3
I am using the Score Editor in Logic Pro to write a musical theatre song. I want to insert a block of text in the score. E.g.: BOB: This is a musical. SALLY: Oh, really? BOB: Yes, really. When I use the text tool to write text into the score, however, I have not figured out a way to go to a "new line." Is there a way to go to a "new line" by pressing some sort of key? (Pressing "Return," of course, simply exits Text Entry mode.) I would like to avoid a workaround of simply creating another text object and placing it below the previous one.
volovicg
Sorry text items are singular lines only. You will have to do it a line at a time with a new text object. Edited November 27, 2022 by volovicg
DanRad
It is a shortcoming. I've had to deal with is for decades.
David Nahmani
Too bad the "TEXT" item doesn't behave like the "CHORD" item that allows you to press Tab to enter a new chord after the current one.
LogicR3
Bummer. Thanks, all. Guess I'll just export to Preview or Finale before entering text blocks.
