deckard1
Just curious if anyone here has used this device (which is also offered as a software plugin) to 'hype' their mixes...make parts or everything sound better? I've heard really good things regarding it and some really bad things as well. BBE Sonic Sweet Plug-in Bundle BBE Sonic Maximizer

I've used this plugin for a while a long time ago until I found something better. It will enhance lows and highs and add overtones/harmonics. It's a taste thing really.
deckard1
What did you find that was better? Just curious. Thanks.
David Nahmani
I used to have a small BBEdit Sonic Maximizer set up on my guitar rig (Ibanez Jem into Marshall JCM 6100LM) for a while, but ended up getting rid of it, I thought it was acting a bit as some sort of loudness contour effect, changing the frequency spectrum a bit but that didn't necessarily help make the sound cut through the live band mix any better.

I googled the Marshall JCM 6200LM just because I love Marshall amps and had never heard of that particular amp before so was curious. Only the Marshall 6100 comes up...is that what you meant by chance?

Forgive my left-hand pinky, it was just being silly and just plain lazy. 6100 is what I meant to type, only the finger decided to do whatever it wanted instead of obeying to its master.
