Midi Files.

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping someone can enlighten me on this subject. I'm keen to download midi files and then import the parts into Logic but I have no experience (or understanding) of how the process works.

Am I right in thinking you download midi files and simply open them up in the sequencer and select relevant instruments to each of the different parts??

Whenever I go on any of the free midi downloads all I get is a windows media player file with a backing track rather than a file I can import into Logic.

I'd be really grateful if someone could shed some light on the process...apologies for my limited knowledge.
