pslebow
I am using Logic Pro with an M1 Max 14 inch MacBook Pro 64 Gb ram. If it sits idle for a few minutes sometimes a lag (not latency) of as much as a second will be develop with audio track (guitar) input. It will correct itself immediately if I play back a track. As if it's lost a sync. Again this is not latency since the audio input will be right on once the lag is "cleared" by playback.
triplets
Did you check energy saver settings in System Preferences?
David Nahmani
Make sure that: You prevent your Mac from automatically sleeping, You never let your hard disks go to sleep. But even then yes, I've experienced the same as you, I believe the core audio driver does not like going to sleep or staying idle for too long, so whenever I will be away from the Mac for a while I'll quit Logic - and if I forget, I've accepted that I'll have to restart when I return to the Mac. pslebow
This happens even when the laptop has not gone to sleep. I use other apps while using Logic and will still see this delay in response to an audio input creep in. I would have though the M1 processor would have been immune. The actual latency when this lag is not taking over, is extremely low.
