ManFromNapa Posted February 5, 2023 Share Posted February 5, 2023 How do you back up your projects? I’m not a huge fan of external hard drives. I’ve had too many fail. I’ve been using Google Drive, but if you read my other thread, you can see I’ve recently experienced an issue. Is there a service you use to save/archive projects? David Nahmani Posted February 5, 2023 Share Posted February 5, 2023 Have you had external SSDs fail, or only HDDs? I've experienced HDD failure, but not SSD. In any case I would recommend you back up to both SDD and cloud. Even cloud backups can fail: 'It had just vanished' - the shock when tech fails OOPS: Google ''loses'' your cloud data I personally use SSD back up and cloud backup, I have my own cloud server service and us FileZilla to access it. I always zip Logic projects before I upload them to my cloud server (Control-click the project folder and choose "Compress"). Old school workflow, but it's worked for me so far and it's easy to generate password protected URLs for clients to download their files.
