Piano Editor Cut & Paste Query

I do not understand why the piano editor responds this way. I have a 34 bar bass region copied and set up to play from bar 35 to make a 68 bar arrangement. The following should work in piano edit. I select and then command/C to copy a bar of notes. Next I command/V to paste those copied notes behind the relocated play head line. If I have the first 34 bar region highlighted it works as expected. If I have both regions highlighted there is no apparent pasting and the play head line jumps to the very end of the tune, bar 69, or somewhere there abouts. I can option/drag the selected notes into the new spot but the obvious command/V does not work. What's different about having another region selected as well? - Emile
