How to create crescendo while keep the proportional velocity values in Logic Pro X

Hello,

I'd like to change the velocity of a midi performance, keeping the relative dynamic (velocity) relationship between each note but have a softer beginning and louder ending. This is easy to achieve in Cubase by dragging the handle of a midi clip but I struggle to achieve the save effect in Logic. Just wondering if it's possible in Logic at all. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Try the "rel.Cres." (relative crescendo) function in midi transform. (I vaguely recall having read that it's possible to do it in piano roll with some modifier(s), but couldn't find it) RelativeCrescendo.png.4c0cabb5b8b245b6fa93b0a9a459e3c7.png

Hold down the Command key while you draw a line in the Velocity area of the Piano Roll:

Jezzzz, that what I was searching for since I am on X. In Logic9 I had to select the pencil tool, then press cmd and to what you've done. In X, this creates just chaos. Nice, that I do not have to switch tools now. 🙂
