Walnut
Hi, how can I setup the atom so that it always controls pitch and mod on the 3rd and 4th knobs? Thanks! I would like them to act just like a pitch and mod wheel because mine is broken on my controller
David Nahmani
This is something that would be best done on the Atom itself. Try to see if you can customize the knobs to send the data you want. Chances are you'll be able to customize the MIDI CC number (Modulation is #1) but I have my doubts about Pitch Bend. In Logic, you could set up a Transformer in line between the Physical Input and the Sequencer Input, to convert any MIDI data into something else, like this for example to turn MIDI CC #72 into Pitch Bend:
Walnut
Yeah, I'll try. It's so strange to me that pitch bend and modulation aren't easily midi assignable.

To assign means to map a MIDI control to a parameter in Logic Pro: you assign, for example, MIDI CC#72 to the filter cutoff of a synth. However here you're trying to convert a MIDI control into another MIDI control, so that's not an assignment, that's a transform operation. There's another method that is more elegant, that works only on specific tracks: using the Modifier MIDI FX Plug-in:
