Groups in Take Folders

I've tried this based on any number of forums and videos and keep failing. Help?!

Scenario: I have two takes of a bass track each with two mics. I am not ready to sub-mix the two mics yet. I have been trying to make two groups (of each take with the two mics each) and then populate a take folder with them. I clicked the edit box in the groups' settings. But I am not able two swipe simultaneously the two mics of the takes (as advertised). Can someone offer a step-by-step guide to do this?? Thanks! JG

Screenshots that are actually visible would be a start

Not sure what you mean, I can see the screenshots here.

@jgold910 in order to do group editing you need to have the different recordings onto different tracks that belong to the same group. On your screenshot, it looks like you have all your recordings into one take folder that is on one single track.

Instead you should have take 1 DI and take 2 DI inside one take folder on one track (name the track "DI Bass"), and take 1 mic and take 2 mic inside another take folder on another track (name the track "mic Bass"). Group the two tracks, and you can comp one of the take folder, for example the one on the track "DI Bass", and the other take folder will reflect the edits.

I only see two empty spaces called „spacer.png“. On all three of my devices. iPad, iPhone, macbook. But good that you could solve it.

Oh I see it’s actually dropbox links. Seems these show no preview here. That’s kinda unconventional… you can actually paste screenshots directly into your message

In this case there were two takes each with two mics. What I was trying to do was make a group of the the two mic tracks for both takes. This made sense as I wanted to swipe and “grab” both mics simultaneously. I then thought I could do the same grouping for the second take and then make one take folder with all four tracks the groups having been now made. That seemed more intuitive than having to make two take folders.

Then the Take Folder‘s contents would somehow have to be assigned to two or more different channel strips. Can‘t think of anything less intuitive really.
