hkremer
I've been recording multiple takes for years with cycle-on set to "create take folder." It has always done what it should, that is, mute the previous take on the next cycle. All the sudden it's not muting the previous take. I've looked in every setting I can think of, and it looks like it always has. Looked in Project Settings>Audio, and Preferences>Audio. I probably set something differently but I don't know what. Any suggestions? Thanks
David Nahmani
You're set to create take folders. Take folders can play only one take at a time, all other takes being muted. If that's not the behavior you're seeing, what behavior are you seeing exactly? Can you show a screenshot of the results of recording two or three takes? hkremer
Hi, thanks for the reply. What I'm saying is that I can still hear the audio on subsequent passes, which obviously isn't how it's supposed to work. I've been doing this for years and never had that problem. So let's say you start a recording in cycle mode, while you're recording the 2nd take (2nd pass of the Cycle area), you can hear the 1st take you just recorded? Is Logic recording take folders as expected?
hkremer
Yes, I can hear the first take when trying to record the second take. It is recording as expected, but only if I want to try to record over the previous audio.
David Nahmani
Ok, that should not happen with the settings you have and I'm sure we can get to the bottom of that. Does Logic record take folders? Can you share a screenshot of a recording of 2 or 3 takes, so that I can see what's going on?
hkremer
Sure, it will be later though. Much appreciated!

Solution hkremer Posted February 28 Author Solution Share Posted February 28 I've been working with it, and it looks like everything is OK. No idea what happened, I restarted the MBP and maybe that did it. Thanks again for your help!
