display issues on the main window and the MIDI editor

Hello,

This has been going on since I got this computer, so I'm reaching out hopefully someone knows what's up.

The midi display is not displaying properly. Sometimes the window turns black and I can't see anything. No notes or the keys backdrop, but just black. What I've been doing is dragging the midi editor out so it becomes a window and there it becomes visible again, but if I go to resize the window it becomes gray and not-visible again.

I also have issues in the main window. Some of the audio bars get visually cropped or they become invisible and don't appear to be there until I "select all" or highlight them by clicking. This occurs almost all the time, and if I fix it temporarily by "selecting all," then as soon as I scroll they get cropped up and invisible once again.

This has become a big nuisance since I use Logic Pro nearly every day. I hope you guys can shed some light on this.

I forgot to mention some important details. I have a Mac Mini M1 running Big Sur 11.6 and Logic 10.2.2. I've tried to run Logic Pro natively, but I don't seem to get this option.

10.2.2? That's extremely old. Zip up the current Logix Pro X application and then delete the app from the folder. Go to the app store and you'll be able to download the latest one running under Big Sur.

When Apple released 10.2.2, they didn't even know what Big Sur would look like, so no wonder this very old (seven years, to be precise) Logic version looks a bit strange on the newest operating system. It's actually quite amazing that it still runs at all on Big Sur. I strongly recommend to use the latest Logic version.

oh man, well, I should've known all this time that was the problem... Didn't know I was so outdated here. Time goes by so fast these days, huh?

I updated my OS and Logic and everything looks awesome and is functioning perfectly. Thanks guys
