jjolij
I've got an issue with audio recording on my Macbook M1 (8GB) using my USB audio interface (Devine Centro 2i2o). The recording is extremely low volume, and it sounds as if only higher frequencies pass. There are no error messages, and the sampling rate of the project matches the sampling rate of my audio interface. The audio interface software is fully up to date, as is macOS, and Logic Pro. Most importantly, up to recently I experienced no problems whatsoever with this exact same setup. I'm fairly sure it is a Logic issue, as Garageband and Mainstage work just fine with the exact same setup. I have tried swapping out cables, audio interface, and USB hubs, all without result; a clean install of Logic Pro also did not help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Computer setup: Macbook Air, 2020 model, M1, 8GB, macOS Ventura 13.2.1, Logic Pro X 10.7.7. Audio interface: Devine Centro 2i2o; iRig Key 49 produced same issue. Sounds like some phase cancellation issue... is this when using input monitoring, or are the recorded audio files sounding like this as well? Recorded audio sounds terrible as well. I tried to record without input monitoring, same issue. Some sound does come through, but very distorted, and primarily higher frequencies. Oddly enough, first one second or so is completely silent, after that some sound comes through. Really puzzled by this.
Garthtaylor
I'm having the exact same issue with Audient ID4 AND Logic Pro X. Mic ( Input 1 ) only works on Logic and DI ( Input 2 ) doesn't work ( intermittent high Frequency spikes ) Both Work Perfectly on Cubase 9.5, and Ableton Live 11 Macbook Pro 2018 2,6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 Ventura 13.2.
JakobP
Make sure your mic mode is set to "standard" ? Use Mic Modes on your Mac - Apple Support
