Unlink windows (arrange-window to pianorole/ audiofile) not working?

Hi,

I have to adjust midi-notes to the waveform of an audio file. So Pianorole is open on the bottom of the screen (not as a floating window). I deactivated the "link".

Each time, I click with the marquee tool into the wave form in the Arrangement of the audio object, the Pianorole disappears and I see the "track/file/smart tempo" screen.

I'd like to force Logic not to do that. 😉

Not selecting the audio region (what you call "object") works for the most part over here when doing selections with the marquee tool in that context as long as you don't click to select the actual region. However,  from time to time this activity does trigger the Audio Track/File/Smart Tempo Editor even if you don't select the region. So to get back to seeing the MIDI region contents in the Piano Roll you have to invoke the Deselect All command while the Tracks area has focus.

I don't think it's possible to completely disable audio regions from being displayed in those editors in the Editors area, so probably the best solution is for you to hide the Editors area entirely and work with the Piano roll and Tracks area as separate windows.
