BradHart
I am trying to bounce a midi drum performance to multiple audio tracks...but it is only bouncing to a single stereo track...despite the fact that I have multi track routing in the auxes that match the multi tracks in EZ Drummer 3. When in the "bounce in place" window, I named the new track "floor tom drums" (because the track is just two toms), but as you can see it has bounced them onto a single track. Floor ton 1 and 2 exist in the auxes...but it didn't create the tracks in the main window. The "floor tom drums" track does not have an EZ Drummer input #, just a stereo input. What am I doing wrong? I've watched youtube videos of people bouncing midi tracks to multiple audio for drum kits and it all seemed very straight forward. Is there some setting I'm missing? Jordi Torres
Hi BradHart, Did you bounce the Track in place (File > Bounce > Track In Place...) choosing the necessary options related to instrument multi-outs as we discussed here some time ago? J. I did, multiple times, and it kept giving me only a single, stereo track. After watching multiple youtube videos of people bouncing tracks in place (and achieving the end result I couldn't) I found one guy who explained that you need to click on the grey area of the track itself and then press COMMAND before going to file/bounce track in place. I'd never seen anyone else describe that step...but it worked for me.
Jordi Torres
Hi Brad, Normally the software instrument track to bounce in place just needs to be selected, there should be no need to press any modifier keys...unless of course you're bouncing the track in place using the key command for which does indeed involve the Command key by default: J. I was very confused....I followed your instructions, and then a few youtube vids that did the same thing - and it just magically worked - but each time it wasn't working for me. I wasn't using key commands... I just clicked on the track (not the region), hit "command" and then went to "file" and "bounce track in place" and it worked where it hadn't before. Don't understand it.
Jordi Torres
Weird. But as long as you got the desired result in the end, then that’s what counts. J.

Maybe you mean cmd+clicking the area ?

Then went to the file and picked bounce track in place.
