oromanow
I upgraded from Monterey (where everything worked fine) to Ventura (and updated it to 13.3.) By creating a new project: MIDI is working (I play kbd and hear), but... control bar/display shows "No In" and no MIDI notes/chords are visible (even resetting does not help) when I open window "LP-Settings-MIDI" and immediately close the window, the just heard MIDI kbs stops functioning, but Musical Typing works What I did to try to fix. 1. I checked the boot drive with Disk Utility and no problems 2. I have removed all LP prefs and third party AU PlugINs 3. I removed LP and installed it freshly Any suggestions how to proceed with MIDI? Other strange problems, when I have third party AU plugins installed: Does not open templates at all (does nothing) although has in Provacy&Security Full Disk Access ON When I open LP, it does'nt anything. One has to actvate New and only then LP starts to open After In Settings/MIDI/Reset All MIDI Drivers, the MIDI does not work anymore, one has to change an different AU-plugin When changing AU plugin, the display does not reflect the new plugin. One has to close the plugin window and open it again Plugins open very slowly, if at all MacBook Pro, Apple M1 Max, 64 GB, Ventura 13.3., Logic Pro 10.7.7. Atlas007
What keyboard are you using? Is it connected directly to your Mac or via a MIDI interface? In the latter event, which brand/model? Did you try testing with SNoize of your keyboard is working properly? In Logic, if you open the Environment, in the Click&Ports layer, does your keyboard or MIDI interface show up (listed) in the Physical Input object? fisherking
what keyboard controller? my roli lumi was not showing input (my cme-xkey does). and are you running logic in rosetta, or native? are all your 3rd-party plugins up-to-date? how do you have logic set to open? when i open logic, nothing happens until i go to open a template (or, if i were to click 'new'). you can change that behavior in logic's settings (am not in front of my work mac right now, but someone else can point you to that setting). everything works here; projects are slow to open (seems a condition right now with the silicon processors)... but i don't really mind, as everything runs fast & smooth once a project is open. All my projects open in a split second. There must be a third-party plug-in causing this slow opening. Edited March 31 by Mania

Solution oromanow Posted April 3 Author Solution Share Posted April 3 Thank you all for your help. Presumably the problem was with some non-compatible AU-plugins. Now I downgraded to Monterey and everything woks great!!! And I will stay with Monterey for a long time! Happy spring time to all!
