batzilla
I hope this is the right forum to ask this. I was looking to recreate some of the cool sounds of the Oberheim OB-X synth and was wondering if anyone knew if something like this was available for use in Logic 8 ( or 7) I found one called OP-X by sonicprojects but was curious if there were any others or if Logic already had something built in. I also have NI Complete 4 so I am going to go look through it tonite. Thanks for any help!
Spunkadellic
yes, logic has some cool oberheim sounds....the ones however labled "oberheim"...mimic more of the oberheims with DCO's ....i still have not found any software that can truly recreate synths with vco's (such as the obx) thats why i still use my old synths with vco's for that played by them selves , you can tell that software isnt as good, but in a mix they sound great and logic has 1000's of old synth sounds that youll love besides samples in the exs24, logic has some virtual synths...i LOVE by far ESP and ES1 the best for old synth sounds
jonkuzma
Hi. You have Reaktor. Search thru rhe patch area at NI..People are allways building synths that sound like older ones. Oberhiem is one that many have built.Download them and see how they work for your needs. Thet are all free and there is some spectacular work there. Just an idea if you haven't already done so.The archive is deep so take your time.JON ,,..PS. I see you have Reason3. The upgrade is cheap and there is a free refill from Lizard for Thor that is all about Oberhiem.
