Hanging MIDI notes in cycle record (LP8)

I've posted about new MIDI issues before, other users seem to be having similar problems. Haven't seen any solutions yet, maybe in the next Logic 8 upgrade?

 

I'm getting hanging MIDI notes in cycle record. I'm using a Motif and Fantom connected with USB cables. I have to panic the keyboards after every take in loop record. I'm happy overall with the new Logic, but MIDI seems a bit buggy. In addition to hanging notes, when I open a new track and assign a MIDI channel & port, a previously existing track gets switched to that port/channel as well. I have to go back to it and reset it to its original assignment.
