Totigerus
Is there a list of currently supported AU3 third party plugins for Logipad?

Because I see GarageBand in that list and there’s no way that would show up in LogicPad’s library.

EDIT: Ignore all of the stuff below....d'oh! 😂 You were asking about the linked site....I take it? Just click the links at the top for AU Insts, AU FX, etc. 3rd party instruments will show up only in the Instrument "slot" of Instrument channel strips. FX will appear in any of the FX slots on audio, instrument, bus, etc. channel strip types that support audio FX. In the case of third-party plugs, be they instruments or FX, these will appear at the foot of the Instruments/FX slot menu - using the Audio Units > Manufacturer > Plugin Name hierarchy. As an example, if I select/create an empty Instrument track, then tap on the second + icon in a blank Tile view window, I'll see the Logic Instrument plugs....and at the bottom of the list (below Vintage Keys), I See an Audio Units menu. Within this, I can choose, say ROLI > NOISE Melody...and the instrument plug is loaded. If I tap the + sign to the right of my newly inserted ROLI plug tile, I can choose a 3rd-party audio effect plug-in in the same fashion (below Utility in the menu). You can try this with the included Apple AUs. Edited May 27, 2023 by oscwilde
Totigerus
I must be missing something vital for my understanding. @oscwildebtw I was referring to your link----> https://retronyms.com/audiounits/ Anyways, why is Apple only mentioning Moog, Fab Filter, and a few other AUv3 apps in the ads when I see hundreds available in your link? Is there any other requirements for LogicPad to see and use 3rd party AUv3 plugins BESIDES them "just" being AUv3? Am I right in thinking that AUv2 is for Mac only and AUv3 is for iOS only? I'm just trying desperately to avoid compatibility issues I already see people having, moving from iPad projects back and forth to Mac Logic projects. I really don't want to have to bounce in place and freeze a bunch of crap all the time just to use both platforms.

AUv2 MacOS only. AUv3 MacOS and iOS/iPadOS....and also TvOS. While AUv3 plugs "should" work across platforms, the developer may still need to alter their code slightly for a plug originally developed for iOS to work on MacOS....or vice-versa.https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT211907 Here's another site that is specific to iOS/iPadOS plugs.https://synthyfrog.com/technology-is-audiounit/
