 Hi,

I would like to know the length of a selected region in time.

I already found this post on the matter:

But when I click and hold the region I only get the starting position in time/measure and begin and start-position in measures(can u change this to time to?).

David also speaks of a note-icon button I cannot find it.

Not a big issue since I can do basic math 😝 but the geek in me wants to know if there is a faster way.

I am doing foley work and I want to re-record some background-noise the client isn't happy with and I want to know how long it needs to be.

If you view the second ruler, it then will show all time code starts and end points on a region you have selected as well as the region length!

I must be missing something here.

I'm viewing the second ruler, Where does it show that? I only get values as in the picture of my display in the control bar; no region length and end-position only in measures.

This needs to be on for it to display when click and holding it.

Yes that's correct. It should be on by default but if you've ever turned it off before then you'd need to re-enable it.

Indeed that was back in 2012 but that note icon button is no longer present in Logic 10.
