How Can I use MPC as a main MIDI controller

You need to create in the enviroments a Chanel spliter,after create you assign each chanel out of the chanel spliter to each audio instrument you want to control.(You can do it easy holding option and selecting each out of the chanel spliter....its open all objects you have in the enviroment).....After that you open the chanel split in arrange mode....its done....when you play chanel 1 in your mpc logic will play the instrument assigned to that chanel...and playing chanel 2 etc etc.........

You can do the same with your MPC4000.......And you will be rigth to use your MPC in each midi chanel controling what you assign to the chanel spliter.....

Actually it's easier than that: you simply go to File > Song Settings > Recording and make sure "Auto demix by channel if multitrack recording" is checked.

 

Then Inst 1's channel parameter should be set to 1, Inst2's to 2 and so on...

 

Then simply rec-arm all of them (holding shift) and the incoming MIDI data will be routed to the correct Instrument, depending on its MIDI Channel.
