can a yamaha promix 1 be used as midi controller for Logic8?

Hey I've got one of these. I use it as a sidecar mixer for various audio sources, eg cassette decks, turntables, etc. I think trying to rig this up as a control surface, while possible, is likely more trouble than it's worth.

I do have a great environment layer for remote controlling the ProMix though, if you're interested.

Hi fader8 thanks for the info. In the meantime I have read the pdf manual that I found online and noticed there are any pan knobs. Anyway knobs I could use to asign panning to. Think I'll have to look arround more for a control surface.

Also thanks for offering the environment layer. But since I'm not gonna buy the mixer I won't need it.
