djals
I spent quite a long time figuring out the controller assignment window in L7 and eventually got it set up as i wanted. The burning question is, do i have to repeat it all over again in L8, or is it possible to copy the settings?
Morerecords
try it, maybe. L8 pref is in library-app support-preferences The L7 pref is in library-app support-preferences-logic file extension is .cs

djals
I have no Preferences folder in either of the folders you mention above, nothing in Logic or App. Support. The only Preferences folder i have is '/Library/Preferences (HD and User) Is this an issue? I'm guessing they got wiped when installing Logic Studio. I'll start again then.... if there's no further suggestions. Thx Andy
Morerecords
no they didn't get wiped. You are looking in the right folder. Library, prefs. Look for a .cs file extension
djals
transfered com.apple.logic.pro.cs to preferences, no joy
Morerecords
that sucks! wish I could tell you more. Given the fact that the control dialog is so flaky anyway, sounds like a blessing in diguise a little
djals
Okay, it'll take some time, doing it again, but no where near the amount of time it took to figure it out in the 1st place Thx for your replies. Andy
