keano12
Since REX work in all programs should I just use them? Do they work the same way in Logic as Apple Loops? Any pros or cons? Thank you
David Nahmani
Can you get both? For Logic Pro I would recommend Apple Loops, as that's what Logic Pro works with natively, however in my experience REX files work as well.
keano12
I used to use ACID many moons ago and I would drag in a audio file and it would stretch it to the bpm. Fast and easy. Is there a way to do this in logic without using markers? Or a plugin that will do it? Or is there a program that does this I can wire into Logic? Thanks
David Nahmani
Apple Loops and REX files will automatically match the tempo of the project you import them to.

I'm a new forum member, as well as a new Mac (M1 Mini) and Logic user. Can you please help with my related issue? REX files aren't recognized on my Mac. I managed to make the following installation: "REX Shared Library" and "REX Shared Library.bundle" (latest versions from Reason Studios) are in Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/Rex. Still, Logic does not recognize REX files. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Normally you should be able to just drag and drop a REX files right onto an audio track?

David Nahmani
I just tried importina a .rx2 file and wasn't able to import it either here. Maybe it no longer works? 😞
wonshu
My guess is that the REX import code hasn't been ported to Apple Silicon. Try it in Rosetta mode. Or it has been deprecated altogether...
