Studio162A
My i9 iMac is still on Catalina. Now that all my 3rd party plugins are supported on Ventura, I've decided to move into the current decade. Is the "Upgrade" option in system preferences generally considered a safe option? When setting up a new Mac I've always started fresh, but was hoping in this case to avoid that hassle. Solution David Nahmani Posted September 15 Solution Share Posted September 15 Yes, it's perfectly safe, in fact that's what Apple recommends: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213265 It's basically the same thing as clicking the "Get" button in the App Store: it downloads and runs the Ventura installer. I'm all for clean installs whenever possible/needed but in the case of a macOS upgrade it really is a no brainer, just click the upgrade now button and you'l be fine. David Nahmani
Definitely. I love it when the answer is a no brainer like this. Have fun with Ventura! 🙂
