jcbmusic
Hi, How can I change the ticks per beat (ppq) resolution? I'd like it to be 480 ticks per Quarter as opposed to 960 is this possible? Thanks -Jake

Fred B
It's NOT possible in Logic. .
Ashermusic
err... yes but not so fast, Fred:) If on the Transport you change the resolution from /16 to /32, then i.e. in the Event List it will display 240 ticks per 16th note, 480 PPQ. Huh? A quarter note has four 16th notes. So, 240*4=960 PPQ (Pulses Per Quarter). .

Fred B
Sorry I meant it changes to 120 per 16th. No, actually you get 120 ticks per 32nd note. And then again, 120*8=960 PPQ. Believe it or not, PPQ in Logic is always 960. .

My point was that for editing purposes you could change the display so that it reads like 480 instead of 960.
