Mark Schetts
I recently purchased Logic Studio and have been trying to record my music (guitar) into Logic 8. I seem to have a latency problem. My timing is off due to a delay coming into my headphones. It is difficult to follow tempo (click track) with this delay. I have tried to click the "Low Latency" box hoping this would solve the issue. It has not. I am looking for some help! Using new MacBook Pro with Leopard. Appogee Duet Interfac. Also using external HD to store music. Thanks, Mark
muses
Choose a lower i/o buffer setting in your Preferences > Audio tab.
Musicianista
Yes, like 256 maybe? You should list your Mac setup in your forum signature for reference.

Also using external HD to store music. I have a MBP and Duet. I set my buffer to 128 and have no problem running a lot of soft synths, FX and can record with very little noticeable latency. A buffer of 128 with headphones will give you less latency than playing a guitar plugged into an amp 6 feet away. Also make sure you don't have any mastering plug-ins or other latency-inducing plug-ins on your master. (Look ahead limiters, etc.)
