10.4.11 + LP8 + [Your Audio Interface Here]

I know it's early, but I'm a bit curious if anyone has gotten around to testing their systems with 10.4.11 yet.

I'll be upgrading tonight, once I get my system backed up.

I have a Focusrite Saffire, which required a driver rollback with 10.4.10.

I'm also getting frequent Core Audio Overloads that I'd like to see addressed, though I doubt 10.4.11 will do anything about that.

We'll see.

I'll post results when I get a chance.

Running Logic 8 along with the Ensemble. 10.4.11 works fine - no issues whatsoever. And it seems that the latest proapps update fixes some of the grafx issues I was having.

Make sure and check software updates after running the proapps update. You'll find an update for Soundtrack Pro and Compressor as well.

I'm using the rare and beautiful Metric Halo ULN-2 with L8 and 10.4.11, and it works just fine.

And for the record, I am still so madly in love with this interface.

Okay mike wins with the Metric Halo!! So, recording party at mikes house. I will bring the chips, beer, GIRLS and my mac. Somebody else will have to bring the band.

LP8, Focusrite Saffire and M-Audio Keystation all working fine under 10.4.11.

Saffire is running under latest firmware and driver.

Haven't tried the liquid mix yet. Will post back when I do.

Are you running the Core Audio driver rollback, or are you using the newer Core Audio drivers?

I'm wondering:

Did you install the Combo update, or did you come from 10.4.10 to 10.4.11 via Software update? If the latter, and you installed the driver rollback for your saffire, did the 10.4.11 update you to the current Core Audio driver?

Thanks,

Hmmm...The saffire just works for me. Always has. But to answer your questions:

Updated via software update from 10.4.10

No driver rollback for saffire - running latest version and firmware

Yes, 10.4.11 updated core audio. On first boot up Logic re-scanned AU Net send and receive and something else that was too quick to catch.

good luck.

Correct.

I know something like the Mackie Satellite (which I first tried and returned) needed a rollback to an earlier version, but not the Saffires (I'm using the LE)

They use the latest version.

However, I did the update but the Audio Core seems to still be the same version, 3.0.5 modification dated 4/27/07 and has not been updated apparently.

I can see the stuff that I know was updated, like Compressor, have recent modification dates, ei, this month.

Is this right?

Thanks :D

Motu Traveler + LS8 +10.4.11 I guess it works fine I have had a few more overload errors and a "cant keep up with midi error" then usual but that was only twice during the 13 hours I had it on today learning and recording. It was a nice holiday.

but I think all and all it works fine
