Virtual Instrument latency in one song???? LP7

I was changing the samples in an EXS24 instrument that I created in one song a couple days ago( I also added some samples before the song started and the start time is now like measure -2 1 1 1 instead of the previous 1 1 1 1) and I edited the LFO rates and the drive I think to my taste (only in that one EXS instrument, it triggers a catch phrase in the song we are doing) and now when I tried to add another virtual instrument track using the EXS24, ultrabeat etc. the samples are sounding late! A few milliseconds late but they are late. I had an Ad limiter, linear phase EQ and a multipress on the output bus and I thought that might be causing the latency issues, but bypassing those it still sounds late. I can't even track new instrument tracks now in that song, because everything is sounding milliseconds late. The thing is, the actual instruments in the song that already have midi tracked sound FINE. the song sounds great, the are only latency issues while trying to add new instruments.

The buffer range is 128 and the plug-in delay compensation is set to all.

The thing is, in other songs the samples are sounding on time. it is only in that one song where the samples sound late. I don't know what to do, because If it was a driver issue (we use Digi 003) or a buffer issue it would be across all songs, but this seems to be only in this one song. Is there something I may have hit or messed with while changing the samples in the EXS that has things sounding late?

If anyone has any ideas it will be MORE THAN APPRECIATED!. I need help ASAP.

hi

not sure why that would be happening but did you try setting a negetive delay value on the midi tracks with the latency issues. In the mean time that should at least bring the notes closer to their actual timing until you can figure out the problem

Thanx, I am assuming this is in the parameters field of the tracks? Yea, this is a pussling issue to me, because most of the delay settings PDC, buffer range are in the preferences area, which is a setting across multiple songs and this is just happening in this one song so changing those things would seem to not be the problem, that is why I am wondering it when I changed the start time to a negative bar, that made things go ajar or if when I changed the samples in the EXS I hit something that I didn't realized I adjusted.

Hi

Yeah, I'll be honest, I LOVE Logic , I think it's the best program out there, but every once in a blue moon I'll hit something or change something by accident and BOOM!!! Something doesn't work properly. To be fair though, This is true with most daws. I had problems in PT for the same reason. Anyway, it's probably just one of those "session things". I remember using pro tools for a big session and then one day I came in and pressed play and all I heard was this ungodly distortion. I had to move all my files to a new session to fix the problem.
