dubsativa
Hi, its the fisrt time I post a message in this forum. Im really excited with this forum,I hope my problem gets resolved. I just bought Logic 8 and the macprovideos tutorials. In one of the tutorials it says that you can add apple loops to ultrabeats oscilator 2 sampler. Thats right, I just have yo drag and drop from the library to ultrabeat. The problem is that the tutorial uses .aiff loops, wich work well, but the new logic 8 comes with .caf loops, wich are not reproduced well in the ultrabeat osc 2 sampler. Am I doing something wrong? .aiff and waves work fine, but i cant use apple loops in ultrabeat with a .caf extension. Can anyone help me please? Thanks a lot in advance. steveH
Your right... when I created the tutorial, UltraBeat Unleashed, for www.macprovideo.com all Apple Loops were Aiffs. Now with the switch to CAF there is are some incompatibilities throughout Logic 8. I assume this will be corrected in future releases and updates. You can work around this problem by bouncing or exporting the CAF loop as an AIFF or WAV and then drag it into UB's sample player in OSC 2. Have fun. dubsativa
Thanks a lot for the reply, Steve, and thanks a lot for doing the tutorials. I bought all of the logic tutorials plus the tips and tricks tutorials, and Im really happy with them. They are really well done and well explained, everything becomes very clear to do. I have already seen the "sound" and "ultrabeat" tutorials and now im into the mastering logic 8. Seriously, thanks again for all the help with the tutorials, its the best purchase I have done lately, (after logic studio, of course, jeje) Big hug from Sunny Spain!
