Headtrauma46
Iv been using logic for about half a year now and have only been using its internal plug-ins. But i recently bought two Native instruments programs and want to use them as plug ins, but when i go to the plug in menu in logic, they dont show up. I looked in the manual and it doesnt really address this issue, so any advice would be much appreciated.
Roger Paolo
on the bottom of your logic instruments menu it says AU instruments. Your third party plugs should be popping up if you click there
Headtrauma46
Iv looked there, but none of my 3rd party plug-ins are showing up. Is there a folder that i need to move the native intruments software into to get logic to recognize them?
anamorphis
Which OS are you using? Which version of Logic are you using? Have you got the latest updates of your NI instruments? And which are those? If you give us that info, maybe we could try and help. There are a couple of things that can cause the plugs not showing, so all the info is needed to spot the problem Cheers. ChicoSatis
hi try going to logic preferences and open the au manager. You should see the 2 plugins there, probably with the boxes next to them unchecked. Just check them and then check the au instruments again. Homina
I have, unfortunately, lots of experience with NI software problems, although not with your specific packages. You have to follow installation procedures exactly in order for NI software to work properly. This includes running updates in the order of their release. Even a minor deviation can derail the whole thing and require a reinstall. After everything's installed properly, you also have to run any stand-alone players at least once before the plug-ins become available. I've never used Logic 7, but haven't had to take steps within any other program to use installed plug-ins; they've just shown up in the appropriate menus. Make sure you're using the latest version of NI's Service Center and that the products you've installed have been activated. If they have, you've run the stand-alones, and they're still not showing up in Logic's AU menus, then you're probably looking at reinstalling things. There's lots of information available in the NI User Forums. It takes some digging to find the stuff that's pertinent to you, but it's there. NI's customer support is slooooow and not always worth much, at least not over email.

soundbase
Try and see if your channel strip is in mono or stereo. I know once I had an issue with inserting a Native Instrument plugin on a mono channel. The Mono channel could not see my Native Instruments as a plugin, but as soon as I changed the track to stereo it could see the plugins.
