nikkik
Hi! Stupid question...one the manual seems to love dancing around and never answering. How can I drag an audio file/region onto a track in the Arrange window, and NOT have it force you to drop at a certain spot? I have a bunch of sound effects I am trying to assemble into a section of a song, and I have the playhead and locators at bar 261. But, whenever I try to drag an audio file from the Audio Bin that has not ever been used, it is *forcing* me to drop it at bar 350 or so. Help please? David Nahmani
Make sure your drag mode is not one of the "Shuffle" modes? You should be able to drop the region wherever you want.
nikkik
Yep- Overlap mode most of the time. Here is a screen shot I was dropping it at bar 164...but the region will get dropped at ~302 instead. I have sections of the song foldered up. If I drop into the first folder, bar 1-164 or so, I can drag regions in fine. If I hop out to the topmost hierarchy, and then bop on down into the second folder, about 161-340 or so, then I cannot drag n drop in the spot I place the cursor, as shown in that screen shot. Bug? nikkik
Here is a screen of the top hierarchy, back a few versions (scene two has been torn apart and new pieces written and stuff). Not sure if it is my use of folders doing this or not. (yes, I love the folder feature...MUCH more than how Cubase/Nuendo does it; as for the song..well, it is a concept album, three acts with scenes in each; prog rock + soundtrack type stuff)
