Juliet
After a long break, I turned on my Mac, booted up Logic and found that where songs had EXS24 in them, it was empty of all samples, including the factory presets. Also emtpy of any samples when just opening EXS24 anew. I tried copying the whole folder of samples back into the Plug Ins folder from the CD, but it just creates an alias, not the real folder. Please advise. Gratefully Juliet
Creature
You need to put EXS24 files into the Logic > Sampler Instruments folder, not the plugin folder,... or put an alias of a folder named Sampler Instruments into the Logic folder. Library > Application support > Logic > Sampler Instruments And you need to copy the content of your cd,...cause when you just drag the cd (image) the content doesn't copy. Juliet
Thank you so much for your help; I thought it must be a file hierarchy problem, but I had no idea how to resolve it. Much appreciated.
Juliet
You need to put EXS24 files into the Logic > Sampler Instruments folder, not the plugin folder,... or put an alias of a folder named Sampler Instruments into the Logic folder. Library > Application support > Logic > Sampler Instruments Hello again. I'm still unable to use my EXS24, even though I now have them in the Sampler instruments folder, under Application Support, in the Library. So, I've tried putting the Logic application in different places to see if that makes a difference ie. I've put the program also in the Library under Application Support and then in Logic, and I've had it in the main Applications folder in the Mac HD, and I've also put it just on the HD. But altough I can load the EXS24, i can't load/it can't see the sample folders, even though I can see them in the sampler instruments folder. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. And merry xmas! Juliet
mew
I'm not sure I understand your filing exactly but here's mine. All of my EXS sample instruments reside in: user>library>application support>Logic>Sampler Instruments. All of the related samples are in a separate folder:user>library>application support>Logic>EXS Samples. Check and see if your set-up resembles this. Good luck. Juliet
Thank you. I'll try and set up the sampler and samples as you suggest. Juliet Ps. Does it matter where you place the Logic program itself? Is yours in Applications or just on your hard disk.
mew
I have Logic in the applications folder. I don't think it should matter where it is but it just makes sense to leave it there since it is an app.
