Ivan
I screwed up. I hope it is fixable. Ok, I was importing a 2 track of music for a client to track vocals too and I didn't think to find the tempo of the 2 track after I imported it, since we were just tracking vocals and the .lso tempo is 120bpm whereas the track is about 124. now that I have already tracked vocals, everytime I try to adjust the bpm the audio files stretch and really all I want to do is adjust the grid so that my markers line up with the beats. Is there anyway to adjust the grid of the song without adjusting the length of the audio files? When I put in the new bpm and the audio files adjust to it, it sounds out of time, so this seems to not work. I just want to adjust the grid, since I should have done this before we even tracked, but that is my fault.

fader8
Uncheck the "Follow Tempo" box near the top of the inspector for that region.
Ivan
Thank you all so much. I was afraid I had made a mistake that was going to be really hard to fix, and I would have to slide each region manually till they sounded right. glad I don't have to do that. Thanks again.
