edubz
has anyone been using apples new keyboard? My old one broke and I can not stand the way the new one feels and apple doesnt sell it anymore. I bought a macally keyboard, after installing the software, the eject and sound buttons dont work, plus I do not like having to look for software for this keyboard. Just wondering since working with logic 8 AND a new keyboard is a little frustrating considered both have things in different places then where they use to be not an issue for new comers, maybe for us apple/logic old timers. David Nahmani
I'm using both the new and the old keyboard on a daily basis. When I saw the pictures of the new keyboard I was horrified, and thought "OH NO!!". But guess what? I love it. I think it's MUCH smoother than the old keyboard. Less tiring on your fingers. More streamlined, easier, faster, smoother .... in fact I have my little theory: I think Apple is going the way of the touch-screens (iPhone....) and they are just trying to get us slowly used to not having to type that hard to press a key. Which makes a whole lot of sense. Long story short: love the new keyboards.
qtruck
I have the new keyboard and I like it, but since I've been using it every once in a while my cursor vanishes, for no apparent reason. Keyboard commands still work, so I can save files and quit apps, but the only way to get the mouse back is to do a hard shut down and reboot. Anyone else have this happen? Simon R.
I think the new keyboard is OK - it's pretty, but they should have made the function keys same size as the others - I find myself often hitting a number key instead of a function key, because the function keys are so small that when you do "blind typing", the margin for error here is much smaller than if the keys had been full size... So I might buy one of the old ones to replace it actually.

instantpop
Just got myself the bluetooth version of the keyboard and the mouse. My new desk had a ridiculously small keyboard tray so I needed a ridiculously small keyboard. I love how it's identical to my MacBook Pro keyboard so all my key commands and whatnot are universal across the two (thanks, BT). And I agree with David - far less tiring on your hands. I do wish the Bluetooth mouse wasn't as heavy as it was, but that is what it is.
