muses
I had problems with my WD drive , too. I may be telling you something obvious, so don't shoot me if I am, but make sure you format it using the Mac's Disk Utility, as some (maybe all) WD drives are not fully compatible with Macs straight out of the box. Once I formatted my WD drive, I had relatively few problems... but then again, I only use it as a secondary backup. I would never use it for audio work. Too unstable. AllyMusicGirl
Yeah she was formatted - now she just sits dim and quiet. It's my work HD too - all the art files...in limbo.
muses
Wow, that is a real "see you next Tuesday, beeatch" of a situation! What a way to start a Monday, huh? I hope you can get it sorted out.
thindave
Ally, You'll probably need to see if you can open up the enclosure, take the drive out and get it into another external case to get your data off of it...
gschmitt
Western Digital Media Center 250G - Garbage. Won't power up. my WD basically backs up my iTunes now...that's it. i can't run anything from it. i'd go out and buy a GLYPH if i were you...if that's just not in the cards now, get yourself a cheaper store-bought one. i found the best to be acomdata's. i ran my whole CD project from that in a very labor-intensive PT 7.1 environment and it did great...and it was 90 bucks after rebate in COMPUSA. not bad.
