dkgross
hmm..are you sure you've got your Master Midi controller pedal routed/assigned properly so that your expression/foot pedal is sending out CC #07 (volume)?? My EVB3 works perfectly with my foot pedal....It controls the channel strip fader volume. also..a common WTF? with the EVB is the Rotor Control. I defaults to your sustain pedal (!) instead of a mod wheel, etc...just clik on the popup to change it.
bebop
thanks DKG i just have the volume pedal plugged into the sustain pedal jack on my master keyboard i go to the cc drop down list on the EVB3, and what's weird is CC7 is greyed out I've apple/L ' d the volume knob on the EVB3 interface and moved my volume pedal, which as I said responds...but only in hard on or off - i need the sweep i've also done the same thing to the chanel fader (as you said) and still - hard on/off only no sweep
dkgross
i just have the volume pedal plugged into the sustain pedal jack on my master keyboard ding ding ding..we have a winner...THAT's your issue, right there!! Your 'sustain pedal jack' is only an ON/OFF switch, meant to be used with a sustain pedal. All it knows is 0 (off) or 127 (on) you really shouldn't have to assign anything or touch the EVB settings at all. what controller are you using?? There should be an additional jack labled 'pedal' or 'control' or something of that nature. MOST of the time, that's already assigned to CC#07 (Volume). On my Triton Extreme, you can change that continuous controller input to output just about any kind of CC information. take your pedal OUT of the sustain pedal jack, plug it into one of the other controller pedal inputs, and give that a go
bebop
note to self studio logic pro controller keyboards suk weighted keys, full 88 - oh yeah but alas - only a sustain jack period thanks for the help DKG i think santa needs a call with a wish list item
dkgross
you're kidding??? NO other controller inputs?? Do you have the TMK 88???? That seems to be the only one without a Volume Pedal jack...And for $300, it SHOULD have one...wow...sorry dude..that just blows. I was just looking at their website.. http://www.studiologic.net/ and..what sucks...there's NOT a lot of choice in 88 key controllers (that don't cost a crapload of money). The m-audio ones have some pretty bizzare feel/action (at least to me)... glad I could help..at least we know it's not a software issue
