bigshum
Hey, this may sound really really stupid, and I bet the answer's staring me in the face. But I am trying to copy the tempo change data from the global tempo track to another project, but am drawing a blank... Any ideas? ski
Open the tempo window. Select ALL, then COPY. In your new song, open the tempo window and Select All (to ensure window focus). Then, "paste at original position". Done!
bigshum
mmm... tempo window? I can see my global tempo track, was unaware there is a windows aswell! The whole copy paste thing is pretty understood by myself, but I can't get the tempo data to be specifically selected; any chance of posting a really really simple idiot-proof walkthrough? Sorry to be a pain but this is really nagging me ha ha Regards Alex
David Nahmani
Hold Shift as you drag around your tempo automation. Otherwise for Ski's method, the Tempo List is one of the tabs in the "Lists" area on the right of the Arrange.
ski
> any chance of posting a really really simple idiot-proof walkthrough? < I did already 8) If you want to select specific tempo events, use the usual rubber banding technique to select the events you want. Otherwise, tempo window, CMD-A/CMD-X from your first song, open second song, open tempo window, CMD-A/"paste at original position" (or set your playhead to the startpoint of the first tempo event from your original song, usually 1 1 1 1, and then CMD-V. David Nahmani
Actually you should be able to click the track header on the global tempo track to select all the tempo events, but I've had several occasions when that didn't work. Shift-dragging always works.
