SonusLeo
Thank you for these great posts! I have a problem with the bass sound. It has a weird click in it. It's probaply just me, but the same problem is in toms also. It makes the bass sound unusable. But the other sounds are great! EDIT: It was my bad, like I thought. I added that filter, and it was fine. I still love these sounds. Hope I'll get something ready today.

Also, make sure (in the ES1) that the analogue setting is not at 0%. That makes a click for sure. Try 1 or 2% Can't believe there's still interest in this! Man, I need to update everyone with a new song!

sayenex
fiddled around with the Metroid theme, Would you please go over to this thread and guess which level from Metroid the sheet music is? ? dude, Kraid's hideout! nice job, heh heh. is that your own arrangement? in the "top part" the first 4 notes are: E, B, A, B. Try using E, B, A, C and let me know what you think. I fooled around with this a while ago with my band (like 3 years ago) it's awesome that someone else messed with it I couldn't get your beatlejuice link to work though, repost! VINCE 30mileshigh Anytime, my M-Tron bud, anytime. Although I don't think there's much to pick. Also, whenever I get time, I'll be posting another 8 bit song, only this time, I used a little bit of Ultrabeat (cheating!). Ah well. Evan I suppose it's my own arrangement. Just played the parts I could and opened it in Score view. Notice how that last part isn't there. I think I like E B A B better. It's how I remember it and I hate it when VG cover bands don't do it EXACTLY like how I remember it as a kid. It's the only time when I like a cover to be near-exact. Re: Beetlejuice I recently changed servers. I've edited the link above. EDIT: With the Chip32 stuff I did it the same way I used to do GM tracks 10 years ago. No effects, if you wanted double/delayed feeling you'd need to copy one track and delay it by a 16th or so.
biff_larken
Another piece of 8-bit goodness (well that's for you all to decide, I suppose) Made mostly with the ES1, except for the drumbeat, which was, I think, the Breaks kit in UB. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/image/b/vesz A friend of mine wants an entire album of songs like this, so I've started. And it's only a demo. There's a little mess up with one of the notes being too short... see if you can find it! Edit: And for some reason, the pic isn't showing. Ah well. epic1
Hey ES-1 does some cool stuff. Here's a link that got me started. I use the ES-P with the Bitcrusher plugin. It's literally only 4 wave types (Triangle, Saw, Square (three octaves), Noise) with a minimal amount of filters. I've been working on a Mega Man style soundtrack using it. The only thing you can't seem to do (that I'm aware of) is get the drum sounds (like Toms, Drops, etc). I'm going to try adding a tape delay and see if that makes it a bit more authentic-er I'll add one of my mp3's once I get it uploaded so you can hear how it sounds.
