E_S_D
Hi, I'm using Logic 8, but I'm asking this question for a friend who's in a panic in Tokyo trying to work his way around a problem in Logic Express 7. When he goes to record a track, he is always prompted by the software as to where he wants to record the file on the hard drive. So OK, this is normal procedure if you haven't already saved your project somewhere; but I thought, and this is the case in Logic 8, that once you project has a name and a folder 'X', all audio you record is automatically stored in 'X'/audio files. Is this not the case in Express? When trying to record multiple track simultaneously, he is asked the same 'where?' question for each track. There must be a better way? Sorry I'm not familliar with Express. Much thanks in advance!
wip
it's the same thing in LE7 as in L8. the main difference is LE you have to 'save as project', as in L8 you just need to 'save as' in both apps, all files will be stored in the 'audio files' folder within the project folder. chellman
When he goes to record a track, he is always prompted by the software as to where he wants to record the file on the hard drive. I used to use Express 7, and I would get this prompt the first time I armed a track, but every time thereafter, subsequent audio files would just get saved to the same place. The behavior you're describing doesn't sound like what I remember LE7 doing. Something must be amiss.
