"jumping" problem in comp editing

A strange thing has occurred several times. I have a take folder consisting of four takes, and I am trying to quick swipe comp edit these to one track. Everything seems to work fine... until next time. That is, when I re-open the project I've saved, one of the four takes has somehow moved towards the beginning of the song!

Did I make this somehow (I'm a newbie in Logic, so it might be my own fault), or how did it happen? And how do I move the take back to its right position? (I can't find this from the manual.)

Needless to say, this "jumping" of a take is making the comp editing useless.

I'm also experiencing this problem and it is annoying and time consuming.

I never know when the take tracks are going to decide to move on their own and I also don't know how to move them back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I haven't used the comp function too much but I'm trying to mess around with it to at least get the tracks to move back. The only thing I can see for now as a possible solution is unpacking the tracks and moving them and then packing them back in a folder. The problem with that is that when you pack the folder up with the original comped version and you hit the arrow to expose the new takes it shows you a take for every region you comped. Unless you don't pack up the original comp or you could possibly merge the original comp and then pack it back in a folder. I'm still messing with it but I think that unpacking the folders is at least getting close to being on the right track. Also, just curious, did either of you do any dragging of the actual take folder? I noticed that when I dragged my take folder out it would push some of the tracks back. When I dragged it back to its original length it went back to normal. You know, I really like the concept of the quick swipe comp but it still appears to be buggy as of now. Hopefully they will really solidify this in the next few updates. That's kind of why I'm a little leery to use it that much.

Anyway hope this helps a little

Have a good one
