DjStiky
Hi, I was wondering something about Logic 8. I know one of the things the library is used for is to load presets for say a software instrument track. Can i create track presets for External Midi tracks, including selected patch setting? Thanks
midiatim
Can i create track presets for External Midi tracks, including selected patch setting? All the choices set in the Inspector are supposed to be sent to the External ... at startup at least. If the External has "MIDI dump" capability, you can record a dump of a preset/patch/performance in a track region, which can be "played" to the External. No way to organize such things in the library to my knowledge. I don't know of any library preset storage -- for anything MIDI -- apart from the 16 channel choices (from the Environment) that appear in "Library" when you select the External's track. I'd like to, though!
David Nahmani
You can't save presets, but you can choose the instrument and its MIDI channel in the Library, and the patch in the program name window that opens when you double-click an external MIDI track's name.
