Can't Change Icons?

Sorry. I know this probably seems like a dumb question, but I am unable to change track icons.

 

According to the Logic Manual, there are the steps:

 

"To assign an icon to a track:

 

- Click-hold on an existing track icon in the track header or in the Track Parameter box, and choose the desired icon from the menu. "

 

 

So, I click and hold on the icon in the track header and..... nothing happens.

 

Any thoughts?

Probably something remaining from the Logic 7 days. You can't do that in Logic 8. Use the track parameter method.

In the arrange window ,on the left hand side bellow "Inspector" you have" midi thru " bellow that" inst. no". Open this inst.no. the first column is icon. Hold on the icon photograph, in two seconds you should be able to open the page and select.

I think , we are talking on the same topic or problem.
