Pakesso
Is there a way to set up Logic 8 to perform a talkback? My bandmate and I can't communicate during our sessions because I can't set up a mic due to our monitoring. So I'm hoping Logic lets me press a key that cuts off the speakers and lets me talk without giving out feedback. Thanks. Pak
David Nahmani
You could create an Aux set to the input where you mic is plugged, and the output where the musicians' headphones are plugged?
pantomimeHorse
Yeah, I agree with David. - And, if you're going to have bands in the studio, they really need dedicated channels on your audio interface going to a headphone amp, such as the ozAudio Qmix, and you need to monitor on cans during tracking. - C
karljam
Has anyone figured out how to toggle the aforementioned talkback aux using a key command? Next best would be a MIDI control signal. Perfect world: a momentary talkback toggle, which unmutes the aux channel only while a key is held down.
