oscar1979
I'm still having a lot of trouble in doing this, here's the problem: I have a bassline that I've applied reverb to, and I want to bounce the reverb sound and effect without the bassline in the audio file in order to create a swell sound before the breakdon of my track. I've tried various ways but either get no sound or get the bassline still there.. Can anyone assist in talking me through this please? Also bear in mind my knowledge of logic is very basic so in laymen terms would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
reeloy
solo the reverb channel and bounce....keep in mind, whatever you actually can hear is what you´ll find in your bounce later on...and when you set the loopmarkers to define the bounce area, don´t forget the reverb tail...... oscar1979
How would I solo the reverb channel when the reverb is on the same channel as the bassline?
davidpye
Sounds like you're using the reverb on a channel insert rather than an Aux like is standard most of the time. You should make sure and set the reverbs mix setting to 100% wet, or if you're using Space Designer turn the Direct signal all the way down and adjust the reverb level to taste. oscar1979
I have tried by putting the reverb on a bus channel..... so if I put the reverb to an aux channel and solo it would work? People have said put the revrb mix to 100% wet, what does that mean and how is that done? Sorry for severe lack of knowledge just learning the ropes at the moment... davidpye
If you put it on an aux channel and send the bass to it, then solo the reverbs channel you should get JUST reverb. For the MIX parameter of the plugin if may vary depending on the plugin. Best consult the logic manual, it should explain the plugin you're using. oscar1979
Thanks for your help, I'll try that tonight and hopefully I can get it to work.... Just so I fully understand you send the bass to an aux the same way as you would to a bus channel, also the aux channels are the ones labelled as such on the audio mixer situated between the normal channles and the bus channels? Again thanks for the help, much appreciated!
davidpye
Depends if you're in Logic 7 or 8, in 8 sending to a BUS will automatically create an aux channel for it's return, you use the sends on each channel you wish to send to it, and turn up their relative dials to get the right amount. Again your manual will explain the use of aux and bus channels, without knowing which version youre in it's tough to say. If you have auxs and buses laying around unused then I suspect you're in version 7 as that doesn't tend to happen in 8.
